The remains of Polish President Lech Kaczy?ski who died in an airplane crash in Russia in 2010 will be exhumed for the purposes of the investigation of the death of the 96 passengers on board of the presidential plane, reported bTV.

“I agree with the decision of the Prosecutor’s Office on the exhumations. A deadline has been set for the remains of my brother. This will be one of the first exhumations, if not the very first,” said the President’s brother in an interview for the website Onet.

Jaroslaw Kaczy?ski, who is leader of the ruling conservative Law and Justice Party in Poland, described as “scandalous” the investigation of the former liberal government.

The Polish right-wing government, which suspects that the crash was a result of an assassination attempt, has started a new investigation. It rejected the official conclusions of the former government that the plane crash was a result of bad meteorological conditions and mistakes on the part of Polish pilots and Russian air-traffic controllers.
