Bulgarian Ombudsman Maya Manolova will refer to the Constitutional Court the texts limiting the number of electoral sections abroad to 35 in any given country.

“I am ready with a constitutional complaint and I will meet with my legal council tomorrow,” stated Manolova, cited by bTV.

According to Manolova, it is inadmissible for the rights of some Bulgarians to be restricted.

Manolova reckons that the Central Election Commission (CEC) has two options – either to violate the ordinance that if 60 voting declarations have been submitted, an electoral section must be opened or to violate the ordinance that up to 35 sections may be opened in any given country.

CEC will think over the issue until Saturday. CEC has already sent a letter to the Foreign Ministry requesting information about the number of Bulgarians in the UK and their distribution, as well as the distance between the various locations.
