Bulgarian Government Approves BGN 12 M Strategy for Electronic Management of Customs Agency

The Bulgarian government has approved a strategy for the development of the electronic management of the National Customs Agency.

Over BGN 12 M will be necessary for financing activities under the strategy.

Over BGN 9 M of the funds will be allocated under Operational Programme Good Management and nearly BGN 3 M will be from the budget.

Some of the goals to be achieved under the strategy for the development of the electronic management of the Customs Agency include increasing collectability of proceeds, improving control systems, lessening the administrative burden and better co-operation with the customs bodies of EU member-states.
