The Ministry of Interior and the Road Infrastructure Agency will attempt to secure the normal return of the persons who travelled during the four-day holiday.

For this reason, a special organisation of traffic has been implemented in the areas where renovation works are taking place, cargo vehicles have been banned and, besides traffic policemen, there will be mobilised officials of the Security Police.

As usual, on Sunday, vehicles of above 12 tonnes will be banned on highways and the roads with the heaviest traffic. The ban will not be in force for vehicles carrying food products, live animals and dangerous cargo.

There will be increased police presence along the routes with the heaviest traffic expected: Sofia-Pernik-Blagoevgrad-Kulata, Trakia and Hemus highways, the road Assenovgrad-Simitli-Gotse Delchev and from Kalotina to Sofia.

Normal traffic will be obstructed by continuing renovation works along the Trakia and Hemus highways.

The heaviest traffic is expected in the direction of Sofia since, on Wednesday and Thursday, over 100,000 vehicles left the city.
