Zero Inflation in August

The index of consumer prices has remained unchanged in August, compared to the previous month and the monthly inflation is zero, reported the National Statistical Institute.

In August, compared to July, prices of food and beverages decreased by 0.2%, while prices of alcohol and cigarettes went up by 0.2% The only significant decrease was reported in the price of clothes and shoes – 2.9% and methane for cars – 2.8%

There was a more noticeable increase in the price of eggs – 2.7%, sugar – 1.8%, gasoline A98H – 1.2%, washing powder – 1.8%, air fares – 6.3%
