Sofia Mayor Prohibits Construction in Borisova Gradina

 “With reference to the recent speculations concerning the Borisova Garden, I adamantly state that absolutely no construction works will be permitted on the territory of the park,” announced Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova.

The preservation of the Borisova Garden as the main park in Sofia and its maintenance in a historical aspect is being achieved through the procedure initiated last year for the preparation of a complete detailed organisational plan. The plan prohibits all construction works in the park and provides for the removal of some of the already existing facilities.
