17 companies competing in Struma highway tender procedure

The next lot of Struma highway will be 4,5 km long and will also include the Zheleznitsa tunnel, making it extremely attractive for road planning and construction companies in Bulgaria.

The Zheleznitsa tunnel alone is part of the road section between Blagoevgrad and Krupnik. In addition, two bridge facilities will also be built to support traffic planing.

The Road Infrastructure Agency has issued the total value of the tender at 250 million leva, excluding VAT and the project needs to be completed in 1400 days. Construction will be sponsored largely by the EU operational program Road Infrastructure.
