Bulgarian mountaineer Boyan Petrov has successfully climbed Nanga Parbat, fellow climber Ferran Lattore has confirmed on Twitter.
The two, led by guide H?lias Millerioux, reached the summit on Monday around 15:30 local time.
This was the second attempt by Petrov to conquer Nanga Parbat after severe weather conditions prevented him climbing up on July 15. Fellow climber Ivan Tomov, also from Bulgaria, had to abandon the expedition due to health reasons.
Petrov was then offered to join Lattore and Millerioux.
His previous record includes K2, Manaslu, Makalu (which he reached in May together with Bulgarian vegan climber Atanas Skatov), Annapurna (the world's deadliest peak which he reached earlier in the summer, followed by Skatov), Gasherbrum I, Broad Peak, Kanchenjunga.
His project, 14x8000, includes all the 14 peaks that are more than 8 km above the sea level. The next challenge, later this summer, will be Gasherbrum II.
Petrov suffers from diabetes, and has to follow a strict diet to conquer the peaks.
