Hot Weather Alert for Most of Bulgaria on Thursday

Bulgaria's weather service has warned of dangerously high temperatures in 21 of 28 regions.

Thermometers will hit 38 degrees in some areas.

The only regions not affected by the Code Yellow warning are Targovishte, Razgrad, Sliven, Shumen, Dobrich, Varna, and Burgas, all of them in Bulgaria's east.

The Black Sea coast, where temperatures will also be more moderate (27-29 grades Celsius), will experience some cloudy weather in the morning, but it will be sunnier in the afternoon.

The heat wave will be followed by a colder snap in the weekend.
