Armed Robbery of Casino Takes Place in Bulgaria's Stamboliyski

An armed robbery of casino took place in the southern Bulgarian town of Stamboliyski in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Two masked robbers rushed into the casino and threatened a member of staff, a pregnant young woman, by pointing a gun at her. They then took a bag with around BGN 700 in it and fled in an unknown direction.

This is the latest in a series of robberies which have taken place across Bulgaria since the beginning of the year.

Last week, more than BGN 11 000 were stolen from a casino in the nearby town of Krichim. Also last week, more than BGN 3000 were stolen in an armed robbery of a car shop in Sofia.
