Israel's President on Official Visit to Bulgaria

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin is in Bulgaria on Thursday to discuss trade, energy and security, officials say.

Rivlin will meet Bulgarian counterpart Rosen Plevneliev, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Parliament Speaker Tsetska Tsacheva.

A meeting with members of the Jewish community in Bulgaria have also been scheduled.

A monument dedicated to the Bulgarian Jewish community, the vast majority of which were saved during World War Two, will be unveiled in Sofia, in the presence of the two heads of state, later on Thursday.
