Bomb Scare on Israeli Plane Overflying Bulgaria Caused by Hoax Call

Bulgarian fighter jets have led an Israeli passenger aircraft out of the country's airspace amid suspicions of a bomb on board, the Defense Ministry says.

El Al's flight LY2, en route from New York to Tel Aviv, has already landed at the final destination.

Interfax agency reports that the bomb scare was caused by an anonymous phone call.
