New Deputy Agriculture Minister to Oversee EU's Fisheries Policy in Bulgaria

The number of deputy ministers in Bulgaria's agriculture ministry will be increased from three to four.

The decision was adopted at the regular meeting of the government on Wednesday, the government's press service informs.

The new deputy agriculture minister will be responsible for the application of the EU's Common Fisheries Policy and identifying the national priorities in the sector.

The new office will be also in charge of ensuring the efficiency of the land use and increasing the revenues from agricultural activity.

The holder of the new position is expected to raise the efficiency and effectiveness of the applied policies and establish better business environment in the agricultural sector.
