Bulgaria's FM Mitov to Meet Azerbaijan's Aliyev in Baku

Bulgarian Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov is heading to Azerbaijan on Friday, May 13, to discuss energy, transport, and cultural ties, his press office says.

Mitov will be received by President Ilham Aliyev and counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov and will meet members of the country's Parliament.

EU-Azerbaijan relations will also be discussed during Mitov's meetings with officials.

Bulgaria has maintained close official contacts with Azerbaijan since a memorandum was signed on the deliveries of billions of cubic meters of gas yearly when the Southern Gas Corridor and the gas link with Greece are complete.
