Sofia Gets BGN 0.28 B in EU Funding to Improve Urban Environment

The local administration in Bulgaria's capital Sofia is to be allocated BGN 0.28 B (EUR 0.14 B) to improve urban environment, the Regional Development Ministry has said.

The funding was approved by Operational Program Regions in Growth for the 2014-2020 period, the ministry has informed in a statement.

Sofia Municipality says it will used the money to upgrade urban areas and in particular educational, social, and cultural infrastructure and public transport.
