Brussels Airport has said that it will remain closed to all incoming and outbound passenger flights until Tuesday, March 29 following this week’s terror attacks.

“Until we have assessed the damage, it remains unclear when we can resume operations,” the airport said in a travel information update on Saturday.

Brussels Airport also said that it had received permission on Friday afternoon to examine the stability of the building, check the functioning of the IT systems, assess the damage and determine the process to renovate the terminal.

The airport said earlier that that it would remain closed to all passenger traffic through Sunday, March 27.

At least 31 people were killed in the March 22 twin suicide bombing at Brussels Airport and a third suicide blast at Maelbeek metro station.
