Bulgaria Records First Victory in U18 Ice Hockey World Championship

Bulgaria recorded its first victory in the U18 ice hockey world championship Division III Group A, which is taking place in Sofia.

After losing 3-4 in the opening match to Australia on Monday,  Bulgaria defeated Mexico with 4-2 on Tuesday.

In its next matches, Bulgaria will face successively Taiwan on Thursday, Israel on Friday and Turkey on Sunday.

The championship pits against each other the teams of Bulgaria, Australia, Israel, Mexico, Taiwan and Turkey in a round-robin format, with each participant playing against the five other.

The championship is taking place at the Winter Sports Palace in the Bulgarian capital between Monday and Sunday.
