Medical University in Bulgaria’s Pleven to Open Pharmacy Faculty

At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the Bulgarian government proposed to parliament to adopt a decision on the establishment of a pharmacy faculty at the Medical University in the city of Pleven.

The planned capacity of the faculty is 300 students, the government’s press service informs.

The establishment of the faculty has been proposed by the management of the university on the basis of a positive assessment by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency.

The university has built a new campus for the faculty, with the funds provided under the “Growth and sustainable development of the regions” investment programme.

The university has also secured enough habilitated and non-habilitated lecturers with the necessary qualification and professional experience.

The establishment of the faculty is in line with the national and regional strategic goals for the development of healthcare and pharmacy care.

The faculty will also supply cadres needed for the development of the pharmacy industry in the northwestern and north central regions of Bulgaria.
