No explosives have been found on board the Turkish Airlines plane that was diverted to Shannon Airport in Ireland after a security threat on Sunday.

Flight TK-34  from Houston, Texas, to Istanbul was diverted after a piece of paper with "bomb" written on it was discovered in the toilet, the BBC reported citing a spokesman for Turkey’s flag carrier.

The plane was due to take off again for Istanbul on Sunday, according to the airline spokesman.

The Boeing 777 carrying 209 passengers landed safely at Shannon around 11a.m. local time. All of the passengers and the crew disembarked safely.
