Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov Loses to Federer at Australian Open

The highest ranking Bulgarian male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov completed his participation at the Australian Open after suffering a defeat to Roger Federer.

In a match from the third round played on Friday, Federer won with 6:4, 3:6, 6:1, 6:4.

Thus the Bulgarian did not manage to record his first victory against his Swiss opponent, with Federer having won all five encounters between them.

As he had done earlier this month at the quarterfinals of the Brisbane International tournament, Dimitrov managed to win a set against his Swiss opponent, but this was not enough for claiming the final victory.
