Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov Proceeds to Semifinals in Sydney

The highest ranking Bulgarian male tennis player Grigor Dimitrov proceeded to the semifinals of the Apia International tournament which is taking place in Sydney.

In the quarterfinal, Dimitrov defeated Alexandr Dolgopolov from Ukraine with 4:6, 6:3, 6:4.

The quarterfinal was played over two days as rain interrupted the match several times, with the final interruption coming at a score 4:6, 6:3, 4:2.

Although he conceded two breaks in the first set played on Thursday, the Bulgarian improved his performance and managed to claim the final victory on Friday.

Due to the interruption, Dimitrov did not have much time to recover before the semifinal against Gilles Muller from Luxembourg, which is also taking place on Friday.

In the semifinal, which is currently being played, Dimitrov already won the first set with 6:2.
