Bulgaria is one of the 130 countries to which video streamer Netflix surprisingly announced on Wednesday it is expanding, its newly published list shows.

Netflix co-founder and CEO Reed Hastings is quoted as saying at CES 2016, an international technology event, that the company is now bringing about "a new global TV network".

Another development is the addition of Arabic, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese to a list of 17 languages it supports. In much of Eastern Europe in general), however, alongside a other newly joined countries, Netflix services will be available in English.

There are several places - such as China, Crimea, North Korea, and Syria - where no service is available as of Thursday, January 07. The last three are somewhere Netflix has no plans to enter into for the moment.

Since being launched in 2007 Netflix has attracted millions of subscribers due to the ability to stream programs anytime, anywhere there is a device connected to the Internet. Bulgarian business news website Money.bg on Thursday published its story about Netflix with a headline "Killer of Cable TV Is Now in Bulgaria".
