Bulgaria MPs to Vote on 2016 Budget This Week

A final vote is due this week on Bulgaria's state budget for 2016 and an overhaul of this year's expenditure.

The Budget and Finance Committee with Parliament on Friday is to vote on funding that is to be spent next year. Separately, money allocated to the national healthcare fund NZOK is also to be put to a vote.  

This year's budget is also to be amended due to additional expenses generated by the ministries of interior and defense this year.

Lawmakers will hold an extraordinary session later this week to vote, after the State Budget of the Republic of Bulgaria Act was swiftly passed at a first reading last Tuesday.
