Bulgarian Authorities Extradite Suspected Terrorist to France

Bulgaria will extradite a 17-year-old French citizen wanted by France with a European Arrest Warrant on suspicions of terrorism.

The French citizen was detained at the Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint last week as he attempted to leave Bulgaria in the direction of Syria with the passport of his brother.

French authorities accuse him of participating in a crime group, which is suspected in the preparation of terrorist attacks.

Appearing before the court in Haskovo, the minor gave his consent to be extradited to France.

He denied allegations of being a terrorist and having participated in any terrorist attacks, private bTV station quotes him as saying.
