The last day of the tournament started with the third place match between the co-hosts Bulgaria and Italy, which was won by the latter with 1:3 (20:25, 14:25, 25:23, 20:25)).

This was followed by the final, which pitted against each other France and the surprise of the tournament Slovenia.
