Hindi Zahra to Perform in Sofia on October 16

Franco-Moroccan singer and actress Hindi Zahra, will perform in Bulgaria's capital Sofia on Friday.

She is coming to the Sofia Live Club with a band of six musicians.

Hindi Zahra, who grew up in Khouribga, Northern Morocco, moved to live with her father in Paris when she was 15. Three years later she was actively pursuing her music career and was able to play a number of instruments, write her own texts, and compose her own music.

In was her 2009 single, Beautiful Tango, that helped her rise to fame.

Being difficult to characterize in terms of style, she has drawn comparisons with musicians such as Manu Chao, Billie Holiday, Patti Smith, or Norah Jones. Some of her songs are in French or Berber, but most are in English.

Tickets for her show are available via Eventim, at BGN 50 (EUR 25). The first 200 tickets are at BGN 40.

The Friday concert, which will be Hindi Zahra's second performance in Bulgaria, is being realized with the support of the Moroccan Embassy and the country's Ambassador to Sofia, H.E. Latifa Akharbach.
