Bulgaria Goes to Eurovolley Quarterfinals after 3:2 Win over Netherlands

Bulgarian men’s team defeated The Netherlands 3:2 in their last Group A qualifier of the 29th edition of the European Volleyball Championship in Sofia on Sunday.

The Bulgarian team snatched the victory, winning the tie-break 17:15 after nearly three hours of play.

The two teams were tied in a 2:2 draw after four games and two and a half hours of play. The Bulgarian team lost the fourth game 23:25 after leading 2:1 (29:27, 20:25, 28:26).

With three wins in as many matches Bulgaria will go straight into the quarterfinals after Sunday’s victory, while The Netherlands will face Slovenia in the play-offs. In the quarterfinals Bulgaria will face the winner of Belgium-Germany play-off.
