Russia hopes for a dialogue with the United States on resolving crises and notes the readiness of the two governments to jointly seek a settlement in Syria, Russian president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov has said.

"It is secret to no one that now they [the Russian-US relations] are not in a best shape and the potential for dialogue is undoubtedly bigger than the current volume of cooperation," Peskov said on Tuesday, according to TASS.

He said that “at least there is certain readiness to cooperate on the most pressing crisis situations in the interests of their settlement” including the conflict in Syria.
