The Bulgarian Parliament is to convene at an extraordinary plenary session on Tuesday in order to catch up with its legislative work.

This became necessary after the MPs voted in favour of a two-week parliamentary recess prior to the local elections, which are scheduled to take place on October 25.

It is expected that the parliament is to finally adopt the new legislation on pre-school and school education on Tuesday, daily Dnevnik informs.

It is also expected that the MPs will approve at first reading the new law on public procurement, which aims at bringing greater transparency in competitions.
