Turkish Minister Taner Yildiz on Wednesday told reports he has sent a draft agreement on Turkish Stream to Moscow and is now waiting for a response.

This comes after weeks of speculation about disagreement between Russia and Turkey over construction of the pipeline, especially regarding gas prices.

"It will not be us who delays the project," Yildiz is quoted by Reuters and local media as saying.

The minister added during a news conference in Ankara that a recent fall of the Turkish lira (TRL) resulted in an increased pressure of gas spending on the central budget.

The Bulgarian National Radio, however, quotes "Russian sources" as saying a draft agreement has not yet been received as of Wednesday noontime.
