Early Launch of Struma Highway's Lot 4

The last 3 kilometers of lot 4 to the Struma highway will be opened for traffic on Thursday afternoon.

The two-way traffic will be allowed in order to alleviate international traffic passing through the villages Kulata, Chuchuligovo and Marino Pole, as announced by the Bulgarian Road Infrastructure Agency.

The action will also aim at making the travel of people visiting the Greek summer resorts easier. Additionally, the agency stated that traveling will become safer and will create less inconveniences for people of the small villages, where traffic had been redirected during the construction period.

The official completion of the project is set for August 1 2015.
