The ad campaign Yoga Hangers by Noble Graphics that was dedicated to the yoga clothing brand Omnitom has been the first Bulgarian project nominated to compete in what is considered to be the biggest advertising festival in the world – Cannes Lions, Capital daily reported.

The campaign was competing in the category ''Outdoor-Ambient-Non-standart indoor advertising''.

''There were 117 applications in this particular category but merely 8 of them were nominated for the award,'' said Strategic Planning director in the agency, Zhelez Atanasov.

The grand prize was won by the Tbwa/media arts lab for their project entitled ''World gallery'' for Apple.

Meanwhile, the Bulgarian campaign consisted of a series of posters placed in yoga studios in Sofia. Noble Graphics also created modified metal hangers, featuring typical yoga poses called asanas. They were then placed in yoga and fitness studio lockers.

Agency representatives said that it was namely the unconventional approach that allowed them to stand out from the crowd and get a Cannes nomination.

They, however, were not the only Bulgarian agency that received a nomination at the prestigious festival.

Georgi Yanakiev and Aleksandar Antonov of NEXT-DC represented Bulgaria in the category Cannes Young Lions 2015. They completed the required task and created an inspiring video aimed at involving people in the activities of the WWF.

''Simplicity came first – short and clear ideas that can be explained in only one sentence,'' said Georgi Yanakiev in an interview for Capital daily. ''Good ideas are the ones that you don't need to lengthy explanations for.''
