The European Union should be committed to the process of stabilization in Macedonia, the country's President Gorge Ivanov said on Monday.
Meeting Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov, who is in Skopje on June 14-15, Ivanov stressed the importance of dialogue between the ruling parties and the opposition in the country after months of political tensions.
The two agreed Macedonia should pursue its European integration goals, Utrinski vesnik wrote Monday.
President Ivanov also told Mitov that Skopje was waiting for "strong support" from Bulgaria during accession talks.
The meeting was on the sidelines of a forum that is bringing together Foreign Ministers from Southeast Europe in Skopje on Monday. The event is aimed at exploring measures to boost regional integration and speed up Western Balkans' accession to the EU.
