Bulgaria Defeats Canada 3-2, Records Fourth Consecutive Victory in World League

The Bulgarian men's national volleyball team defeated on Saturday Canada with 3:2 and recorded a fourth consecutive victory in Pool C of the FIVB World League.

Bulgaria lost the first set with 20-25, but managed to equalise the score by winning the second with 25-19.

Canada came again in the lead by claiming the third set with 25-22, but Bulgaria kept the score equal by winning 27-25 in the fourth set.

Thus, the match went into a tie-break with Bulgaria holding the initiative throughout the fifth set, winning it with 15-12 and claiming the final victory.

The most productive for the Bulgarian team was Danail Milushev, who scored 17 points, while his teammate Teodor Todorov added 14 points and five blocks.

At present, Bulgaria occupies the second place in Pool B with ten points, being five points behind the Canadians.

The second encounter between hosts Canada and visitors Bulgaria takes place on Sunday at 2:10 a.m. Bulgarian time.
