Bulgaria's Tsvetana Pironkova Proceeds to Third Round of Roland Garros

Bulgaria's top female tennis player Tsvetana Pironkova proceeded to the third round of Roland Garros on Thursday.

Pironkova defeated Denisa Allertova from the Czech Republic with 6:3, 7:6 (2) as the two players met each other for the first time.

The Bulgarian played well throughout the match, except for the middle of the second set, but eventually she managed to improve her performance.

Pironkova did not have much problems in the first set, which she won with 6:3.

Allertova started the second set better, achieved a break early on and came in the lead with 2:0.

The Bulgarian managed to return the break immediately, but conceded another break and was 1:4 behind.

Pironkova managed to recover quickly and won three consecutive games, equalising the score to 4:4.

The Bulgarian continued her excellent performance in the tiebreak and claimed the final victory.
