Nine-Storey Block Collapses in SW China

An unknown number of residents have been trapped beneath the rubble of a residential building which unexpectedly collapsed in Southwestern China.

Firefighters and medical staff are working hard to find survivors after the incident which took place in the city of Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou Province, according to the South China Morning Post.

There has been no official statement about the reasons which led to the building's collapse, though news about it was also spread by state-run media outlets.
