Bulgaria's Sofia Boasts Highest Number of Millionaires in 2014

A total of BGN 545 M have been registered to belong to the 259 people who have declared total annual incomes of more than a million leva. The information has been revealed after a portion of the tax declarations for 2014 have already been submitted. 

The biggest portion of the registered millions have been received as a part of the labor relations - BGN 226 M, approximately 149 M came from monetary and property transfers, while 103,1 M were earned through private trade activities, as reported by the National Revenue Agency (NAP). 

Among the millionaires with registered income in Bulgaria wee five foreigners, who have earned a total of BGN 14 M. All of them are male and have accumulated the largest portion of their income through transfers of property and money.  

As reported by NAP, the person who has the highest reported income - more than BGN 8,7 M in Bulgaria is a man aged 49 from Sofia. 

The city in Bulgaria that boasts the biggest number of millionaires is Sofia - 129 people, then Varna takes the second spot with 18 people, and Plovdiv is third with ten people. Additionally, only one lady is a part of the top ten of the richest Bulgarian millionaires.
