At least three people have been injured after blasts hit headquarters of Kurdish People's Democratic Party (HDP) in cities of Adana and Mersin in Southeastern Turkey.

The bombs were hidden in a cargo parcel and a gift-packaged flower pot respectively (the latter had been sent to the Mersin office the day before and exploded upon opening), according to H?rriyet Daily News.

Other media sources put the number of injured at at least six.

The two explosions happened within 10 minutes one after the other, the first being in Mersin, at about 10:00 local time.

Monday's explosions come as parliamentary elections are looming in Turkey, scheduled for June 7.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been seeking support from the Kurds from his (though not chaired by him anymore) Party of Justice and Development (AKP) which could secure the majority he needs to pass constitutional amendments. However, HDP's outlook for Parliament is not yet clear, since any party needs to garner support beyond 10% of the votes to make it into the legislature.

Among changes included in the draft is the transformation of Turkey from a parliamentary to a presidential republic.
