Qatar Shows Interest in Cooperation with Bulgaria

Qatar has stated its interest for cooperation between the companies Qatargas and Bulgartransgaz. The assertion was made during the official visit of the Bulgarian PM Boyko Borisov in the capital Doha.

Borisov and the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Abdullah Al Thani signed a memorandum aimed at cooperation in the field of crime prevention. This has been the first document signed between the two countries in the field of security.

A further interest has been shown on the part of Qatar for cooperation with Bulgaria in the sectors of transport, agriculture and energy. The details of the memorandums will be further negotiated among the respective resource ministers of both countries, as announced by the government press office.

Additionally, it has been stated that Bulgarian construction companies could be getting the opportunity of participating in the building of the facilities needed for the upcoming Qatar FIFA World Cup in 2020.
