'Bulgaria is Super Cool' Campaign Provokes Sofia Citizens

A campaign entitled ‘’Bulgaria is super cool’’ has been launched all across the capital Sofia and soon became viral on social media.

The initiator is the NGO Destructive Creation that has been known to be involved in various arts projects aimed at improving the overall environment in the city.

This time around, the provocation action involves graffiti of the motto located in key points across the capital, visible to millions of people on a daily basis. The not so subtle form of positive reinforcement is a statement that the Destructive Creation crew is attempting to send to people in Sofia and all across Bulgaria.

One of the members of the team stated in an interview for the Bulgarian National Television that life in Bulgaria is super cool because people have tons of artistic freedom, but they should not be expecting too high a monetary remuneration for their efforts.

Another member of the Destructive Creation family stated that the idea behind the project was to counteract the negativity in the public space. He added that if visitors of the capital start reading the random graffiti on the walls, they will get the impression that Bulgaria is a very bad place to live in, while most of the people are not having bad lives.

Asked why they believe Bulgaria to be super cool, people on the street often listed the country’s history and natural wonders.
