Bulgaria's Dimitrov Overwhelmingly Defeats Wawrinka in Monte Carlo

Bulgarian top tennis player Grigor Dimitrov has made it to Monte Carlo quarterfinals after securing a smooth victory against his Swiss opponent Stanislas Wawrinka.

In a 55-minute match of a Masters tournament in Monte Carlo, Dimitrov triumphed 6:1, 6:2 against Wawrinka, who had won the tournament last year.

Dimitrov's success is part of the past few days' series of victories following a tough season when he suffered a number of bitter defeats.

This is also the first recent win of Dimitrov against an ATP Top 10 opponent, with the last seven matches of this kind having ended in losses.

His next match will likely be against either France's Ga?l Monfils or Switzerland's Roger Federer.
