Bulgaria’s Govt Increases Interior Ministry Staff by 700 People

Bulgaria’s government has adopted a decision to increase the staff of the Interior Ministry to 50 200 from a rate of 49 500.

The decision, which was approved on Wednesday, introduced changes to the Rules of Procedure of the Interior Ministry.

According to the media statement of the government, the change will contribute to the implementation of the planned structural reforms.

The move should also contribute to the normal implementation of activities related to countering crime, maintaining public order, protecting Bulgaria’s national security, border control, regulating migration processes, and guaranteeing the safety and protection of the population in cases of fire, natural disasters, and emergency situations.
