Bulgaria’s Prime Minister, Turkey’s President to Arrange Meeting to Discuss Energy Projects

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan have discussed energy security and the future of energy projects in the region in a phone conversation.

Borisov and Erdogan also agreed on Tuesday to hold a meeting soon, with energy projects being a prominent topic on the agenda, according to the press office of the Bulgarian government.

Bulgaria’s Prime Minister and Turkey’s President discussed home affairs in both countries in the context of new challenges in international relations and regional security.

Borisov expressed condolences to the families of the Turkish nationals who died in the plane crash over the French Alps.

Later on Tuesday, Borisov had a phone conversation with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu.

Borisov congratulated Netanyahu on the election victory and wished him luck in the formation of a government, stressing that winning the elections was just the beginning of a series of challenges and responsibilities.

The two prime ministers also discussed opportunities for holding a bilateral meeting as soon as possible and agreed to start preparations for reciprocal visits.
