Tensions in Bulgaria's coalition government of PM Boyko Borisov are more about the speed of change than differences in policy, a report on the BBC argues, citing "analysts".

The "political turmoil at the heart of the government" happens at a time when Sofia is facing the challenge of continuing wave of illegal migrants from the Middle East and North Africa, according a report by the British broadcaster's Central Europe correspondent.

The text reminds that on Wednesday Bulgaria's Parliament approved the appointment of Rumyana Bachvarova as Interior Minister.

It also recalls the European Commission's recommendation that Sofia needs more effort to tackle organized crime and corruption.

Some emphasis is put on PM Borisov's intentions to reincorporate the domestic security and counter-intelligence agency DANS into the Interior Ministry "to leave it freer to deal with counter-terrorism work," political scientist Daniel Smilov is reported as saying.
