2 Masked Men Attempt Armed Robbery of Security Van in Sofia

Two masked men attempted an armed robbery of an armored cash-in-transit vehicle in Sofia on Monday morning.

The incident happened at around 8:10 am in the Nadezhda-3 residential district, according to reports of local police, as cited by the Bulgarian National Radio.

The two masked men pointed a gun at the driver of the cash-in-transit van and the security guards of the armored vehicle, seeking to steal the money that had been collected in it

The Sofia Directorate of the Interior Ministry explained that the attempted armed robbery of the security van had been unsuccessful and the offenders had escaped in an unknown direction.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

Police are looking for the perpetrators of the attempted robbery.
