Bulgarian Deputy PM Kalfin Vows Support for Business Collaboration with Russia

During a Moscow visit Wednesday, Deputy PM and Social Policies Minister Ivaylo Kalfin discussed opportunities for improvement of trade and economic relations with Russia.

''The economic relations with Russia are extremely important for Bulgaria,'' Kalfin said. ''I believe that in a time of crisis every chance that the business can take, should not be missed. I am convinced that there are ample cooperation opportunities for both sides.''

He further expressed willingness to make every effort on improving the collaboration between Bulgarian and Russian businesses. Kalfin said that both countries have traditions as well as new opportunities for partnerships in a number of areas.

At a meeting with the President of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Alexander Shokhin, Kalfin discussed possibilities of collaboration. Organizing of business forums, round tables and conferences in the field of ecnomics, as well as exchange of experience and ideas in professional education and qualification improvement were listed as starting points.
