Google Features Bulgarian Liberation Day Doodle

Google commemorated the Bulgarian Liberation Day on March 3, with a celebratory doodle.

The image features fireworks crossing the night sky in the colors of the Bulgarian national flag - red, white and green.

The 137th anniversary of the Bulgarian Liberation from the Ottoman Empire is marked across all of Bulgaria and will be completed with fireworks and a ceremony at the Narodno Sabranie Square in Sofia tonight.

It has now become a tradition for the search engine to mark national holidays, as some of the former images featured were dedicated to Bulgarian national holidays, such as Liberation Day in 2012, the Day of Slavic Script and Bulgarian Culture, as well as the Google logo wearing a Bulgarian martenitsa to celebrate the traditional Bulgarian holiday of Baba Marta.
