A series of shootings in south-central Missouri left eight people dead, including the gunman, and one injured.

The 36-year-old suspect was found dead in a parked car Friday morning with a gunshot wound that appeared self-inflicted.

The victims of the shooter are believed to be seven, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, as cited by the BBC News.

During the investigation, police found an elderly woman who appeared to have died of natural causes.
The rampage took place at around 10 p.m. local time on Thursday.
One injured was taken to a nearby hospital.
