Belarus President Lukashenko Dismisses Prime Minister

Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko has appointed his chief of staff Andrei Kobyakov as Prime Minister.

The move was announced on Saturday by the press service of the President.

Kobyakov replaces Mikhail Myasnikovich, who served as Belarus' Prime Minister since December 2010, according to Deustche Welle.

Vasily Matyushevsky has been appointed as first Vice-Premier, while Vladimir Semashko and Natalya Kachanova have been appointed Vice-Premiers, according to the presidential press service, as cited by Russian news agency TASS.
