Series of road accidents resulted in casualties and injuries in all parts of Bulgaria on Saturday.

The main causes for the accidents were the poor weather conditions and the unconsidered speed of drivers, the electronic daily Dnevnik reports.

A child became the victim of a heavy road accident in Kameno village, near the town of Petrich, when a car rolled over.

According to unofficial sources the reason for the incident was the icy road.

Near the town of Razgrad five cars, van and a truck with trailer collided, which resulted in one of the cars and trailer igniting and burning down.

The causes for the incident were the heavy fog and the slippery road.

Despite the considerable damages, no heavy injuries were suffered with the four people that were injured transported to the hospital of Targovishte, where they were examined and released for home treatment.

The main road was closed until the clearing of the collided vehicles with a detour provided through the village of Davidovo.
